Los Adolescentes Orchestra [1] Is a musical orchestra that specializes in the genre of salsa and was founded in December 1995 in Caracas, Venezuela, by Porfi Baloa, who is also the arranger and writer of most of the songs played by this group.

The group was formed by young Venezuelans, and currently consists of Everson Hernández, Armando Davalillo, Ángel Delgado, Óscar Arriaga and Porfi Baloa, in the company of musicians Alex Gil, Julio Antillano, Edwards Pimentel, Eliécer Dabuy, Jesús "Godo" Puente, Johan "Condi" Muñoz, David González Jr. and César "Albóndiga " Monge".

This Orchestra, has very Caribbean roots, the salsa and the youthful charisma achieved by each of its members has influenced the construction of their tropical style and thanks to this made them one of the most famous youth salsa orchestras known in the Four continents.

History

At the end of 1994, under the name of Adolescent's Orchestra, they released their first album "Reclamando Nuestro Espacio" (Reclaiming Our Space), which contained songs such as "Anhelo" (Longing), "Hoy Aprendí" (Today I Learned), "No Puedo Ser Tu Amigo" (I Can't Be Your Friend), among others, and which became a musical success just a few weeks after its release.

Later in the year of 1996 the record production called "Persona Ideal" is released, the second production of the orchestra where you can find successful contents like "Arrepentida", "Clase Social", "Celos y Distancia", "Horas Lindas", and more, it is worth to emphasize that this production marked a record of audience and in the Venezuelan record history since all the themes reached the first place in the musical billboards.

In 1998, the orchestra made a foray into the world of acting and took advantage of this with the launch of their third production "La Misma Pluma" (The Same Feather).

They produced a successful television series called "Jugando a Ganar" (Playing to Win) which was broadcast in Venezuela and in several countries throughout Latin America, such as Peru, Chile, and Colombia, among others, with great success.

The orchestra has combined for many years the creation and release of albums with promotional tours around the world visiting a number of countries, including: Japan, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, among many others.

They have had the opportunity to participate in festivals such as Milan and Turin and even in religious events such as the Jubilee 2000, where they had the pleasant opportunity to sing and share with Pope John Paul II.

In 2009, four continents were able to enjoy the flavor of this orchestra, which has broken the Language barrier thanks to its tours, making men, women, young and adults dance to each of the tunes performed by this group that has become a faithful ambassador of tropical music and Venezuelan talent.

After almost 7 years of foundation it returns to the first places, with the songs of its fourth production "Ahora Más Que Nunca" which brought variety in rhythms and lyrics among which the usual salsa, a bachata and to everyone's surprise a merengue that made Venezuelans vibrate and that brought as always to the top of popularity the Ambassadors of Salsa in Venezuela.

In their fifth production, they presented a renovated front end made up of Everson Hernández, Armando Davalillo, Ángel Delgado, Óscar Arriaga and Porfi Baloa as well as the eight and no less important musicians of the orchestra Alex Gil, Julio Antillano, Edwards Pimentel, Eliécer Dabuy, Jesús "Godo" Puente, Johan "Condi" Muñoz, David González Jr. and César "Albóndiga" Monge, who merged all their talent and brought us songs like "Aquel Lugar", "Se Acabó el Amor", "Paco", "Búscame", "Si Supieras" and "Cuerpo Sin Alma".

Awards

Award "Mara de Oro", "Meridiano de Oro", "Estrella de Oro", awarded in New York as the Revelation Orchestra of the Year during the years 1996 and 1997, as well as the A.C.E awards given by the New York Association of Entertainment Journalists, Premio Lo Nuestro (Nomination) and one of the most recent, the "Globo de Oro" award in the tropical salsa category.
