Lori Vallow

Lori Vallow

Lori Vallow is a 46-year-old American Woman that was arrested in Hawaii because her children, 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua J.J., went missing in Idaho.[1][15]

Lori Vallow's Marriage with Daybell

Lori Vallow married Mr. Daybell shortly after the death of both of their former spouses.

Mrs. Vallow's husband was shot, and Mr. Daybell's wife's cause of death remains unknown. [16]

Multiple people who were either murdered or found dead last year were related or married to Mrs. Vallow or Mr. Daybell.

In July, Lori Vallow's brother, Alexander Cox, called 911 to report he shot Charles Vallow, Ms. Vallow's estranged husband, at her home in Chandler, Ariz. And according to body camera footage from police officers who responded to his call, Mr. Cox said he was visiting his sister when Mr. Vallow, who had lived in Texas, came to see the children.

Mr. Cox said he had witnessed an argument between Mr. Vallow and his sister and she had left the house.

He got into an argument with Mr. Vallow, who struck him with a baseball bat on the head, Mr. Cox said that he had got his gun out of his room and shot Mr. Vallow in self-defense. Mr. Vallow passed away. There have been no arrests but the case remains under investigation, Chandler police said. [2]

Mr. Daybell's wife 49-year old Tammy Daybell was found dead in her Salem, Idaho home on Oct. 19.

She seemed to have died of natural causes, the authorities said, and she was buried in Springville, Utah, where she once lived.[4][5]

The next month, Mr. Daybell married Mrs. Vallow, and moved to Idaho.

But Tammy Daybell's body was exhumed on Dec. 11 after Idaho officials began to question the circumstances of her death and whether it might have been related to Tylee and Joshua's disappearance. The Idaho office of the Fremont County Sheriff, which is investigating the death of Mrs. Daybell, is waiting for results of autopsy. [6][7]

According to police, Mr. Cox, Mrs. Vallow's uncle, was found dead in his home in Gilbert, Ariz., on Dec. 12.

How he died remains unclear.

"We are currently waiting for the results of the autopsy to come back,"

A spokeswoman for the department said in a statement.

"We believe that we'll be getting those tests for another two months or so."

Vallow and Mr. Daybell finally arrived in Hawaii but without the kids, and the Kauai Police Department [3] said it had issued her with a court order to take her children to the Idaho Health and Welfare department in late January. The deadline came and went but there appeared neither Mrs. Vallow nor her kids. The Kauai police said on Thursday that they had arrested Ms. Vallow in Princeville, and that she would attend an island hearing:

"where she will have a chance to waive or contest her extradition to Idaho."

Mr. Daybell was not detained. A judge placed bail at $5 million for Mrs. Vallow in court on Friday, and set another hearing on her extradition on March 2. Idaho court documents supporting the charges against Mrs. Vallow said they found Tylee's bank card, which was still active and used after Tylee was missing months ago, when the police searched her and her rented Ford Explorer at Kauai. The Rexburg police also learned that in July, Ms. Vallow sent an Email asking the Arizona facility which had trained the service dog of her son to find another family for the dog "because of a change in life circumstances," the court documents said. Mr. Daybell's parents have told police that, according to the report, Mr. Daybell and Mrs. Vallow had told them Mrs. Vallow was "an empty nester." [8][9][14]

The Relatives of Lori and Daybell

The Relatives of Lori Vallow and Mr. Daybell have indicated that they are separated from their family members by religious beliefs of the couple. Mr. Daybell is the author of several religious-themed books and he and Mrs. Vallow were related to an entity called Preparing a Community. In a statement a multimedia corporation, Color My Media, said that:

"Preparing a People"

was essentially a series of lectures.

"That's not a ' gang ' and it's not a ' cult ' or something people are joining,"

he said.

And also mentioned in court documents were the religious beliefs of Mrs. Vallow when Mr. Vallow applied for a divorce from her about five months before he died.

Fox 10, a news outlet in Phoenix, published the files, stating that the records revealed that Mr. Vallow reported that Mrs. Vallow believed that she was "receiving divine insights and visions to help her gather and prepare those chosen to live in New Jerusalem after the Great War, as prophesied in the Book of Revelations."

The accuracy of the Fox 10 story was reported by Steve Ellsworth, a Lawyer who had represented Mr. Vallow when he filed for divorce. (Divorce has never been finalized.)

The Disappearance of Tylee and Joshua

On November 26, the Rexburg police conducted a health check at Joshua. They never find him. The next day they returned with a search warrant and discovered Mrs. Vallow and Mr. Daybell were leaving Rexburg.

"We took every measure we had at our fingertips, including conducting several search warrants, questioning multiple sources and running down every lead we encountered,"

the Rexburg police said in a statement on Dec. 30.

"We believe very strongly that the lives of Joshua and Tylee are in danger."

"We want them back,"

Joshua's grandparent Larry Woodcock said last month at a news conference. He added that when they were younger, Mrs. Vallow was a good mum to the girls. He said:

"If anyone had said this two years ago is what will happen to Lori, I would never have believed it"

The authorities have said Joshua's relatives haven't heard of him since September, that Mr. Daybell once falsely claimed Tylee had died more than a year earlier, and that Mrs. Vallow once falsely claimed that Joshua was living in Arizona with a family friend. "We know the kids aren't with Lori and Chad Daybell and we also have information indicating that either Lori knows where the kids are or what's happened to them," the police statement said.

The East Idaho News reported in early February that Mrs. Vallow had abandoned a storage unit that she leased at Self Storage Plus in Rexburg on October 1.

The news outlet posted the storage company's security video, which appeared to show Vallow and two people, probably Mr. Cox and Mr. Daybell visiting the unit many times in October and November to deliver or take items away.

In a statement, Self storage Plus confirmed it had rented a storage unit to Mrs. Vallow. A business owner confirmed that the unit was searched by the authorities on November 27, and that it contained items for children including Photographs, bicycles and clothing.

Sean Bartholick, a lawyer for Mrs. Vallow who may have changed her last name to Daybell and Mr. Daybell declined to comment on the case in early February but issued a statement to The East Idaho News in December on their behalf. "Chad Daybell was a loving husband and in this matter has the support of his children," it said. "Lori Daybell is a devoted mother who resents the contrary assertions. We are looking forward to addressing the allegations after moving beyond speculation and rumour."

Colby Ryan, the older son of Mrs. Vallow from a previous marriage, expressed his frustration with the somber situation and urged his mother to

"do the right thing"

in a video posted.
