Diego Leanos (born September 6, 1996), known professionally as Lil Xan, is a Mexican-American rapper based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his breakthrough songs "Betrayed", "Been Bout It", "Xanarchy", "Wake Up", "Montana Doe", and "Slingshot".
His song "Betrayed", peaked at 69 on the Billboard 100 in November 2017.

Xan is originally from Redlands, California, he is of Mexican descent. He grew up listening to De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest. Lil Xan dropped out of high school his Freshman year.
Lil Xan first tried xanax in 2014. At first, he was cautious about taking pills, but once he saw his friends dissolving Xanax in soda, drinking became his preferred way of taking it. Xan's favorite drink to mix Xanax with is Mountain Dew Voltage
Xan first started getting tattoos when he was 18 on his hands. His philosophy when it comes to tattoos is that they should be seen. Xan would soon get tattoos on his neck and face. The meaning of some of his face tattoos include "Candy" which is his mother's name (Candy Leanos) and "Zzz" which comically represents his Xanax use.
Xan first started rapping after his camera was stolen.
He had a choice either to pay $1200 for a camera or $20 for a recording session.
Xan decided that if people like his material, then he would continue rapping.
Xan's uses his demons such as his drug use to propel him to success.
Lil Xan was discovered by DJ Fu in a garage studio with $teven Cannon who introduced them to Stat Quo. Quo saw the potential in Lil Xan and became his manager, which eventually led to his deal with Columbia Records.
Lil Xan calls his crew Low Gang and includes Steve Cannon and ARNOLDISDEAD (Xan Frank).
Influences
In an interview with Lyrical Lemonade, Lil Xan stated that one of his inspirations for his sound is Playboi Carti. One of his favorite artists is Mac Miller.
Touring
Lil Xan performed his first sold out show at the Roxy Theatre (West Hollywood) on Saturday October 21, 2017.
Career
