Leslie Picker is an American reporter covering hedge funds, private equity, and asset management at CNBC. ^{[2] [3] [4] [9]}

Picker was born to Bobbye B. Picker and Scott B. Picker in Leawood, Kansas. ^[8]

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois, earning a bachelor's degree in political science. ^{[2] [4] [3]} She then earned a master's in journalism from Columbia University, graduating with honors, and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, with a concentration in finance. ^{[2] [4]}

She started her career as a booker at Fox Business Network from May 2010 - December 2010. ^{[4] [2]} In January 2011, Picker joined Bloomberg Television where she was a reporter covering initial public offerings from 2013 to 2015, and as a segment producer from 2011 to 2013. ^{[2] [4]}

While at Bloomberg Television she also contributed to Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Radio. ^{[2] [4]}

since September 2015, Picker was recruited by the New York Times as a deals reporter covering mergers and acquisitions, private equity, shareholder activism, restructuring, and initial public offerings. ^{[2] [4]}

In February 2017, Picker joined CNBC as a reporter covering hedge funds, private equity, and asset management. Her reporting appears on both CNBC's television and digital platforms. ^[2]

Since joining CNBC, she has interviewed several notable investors, including Citadel's Kenneth Griffin, Greenlight Capital's David Einhorn, Omega Advisors' Leon Cooperman and Pershing Square's Bill Ackman. ^[2]

Picker married Evan Michael Haedicke on November 12, 2015, at the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. ^{[8] [1]}

They both met in 2011 on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend in New York. ^{[8] [1]}

On September 24, 2019, Leslie shared a picture alongside Evan showing her baby bump with the caption "Praguenant".

The caption referred to the city, Prague that they visited for vacation.
