Leng's paintings are characterized by the fidelity with which he portrays the light, colors and textures of his models.
This great artist became known in 2004 for his painting Mona Lisa, inspired by the painting of Leonardo da Vinci. In Jun's painting, a model appears dressed in a brown sweater that imitates the posture of the real Gioconda
"Leng's paintings have managed to push portraits to a new limit thanks to the way they show vulnerability and sensitivity, imperfections and beauty"[7].
The theme of this artist ranges from the portrait of people to different materials, in addition he likes to portray nature.
The artist considers that it is difficult for him to portray people since “the emotions that he can represent even the slightest change in a faction make it very difficult to paint them“, Leng Jun comments in an interview given to the Chinese chain CGNT[9].
