When Cuen was 18-years old, she went to Jerusalem to study Arabic in an abroad program, but dropped out and started reporting from a refugee camp in Bethlehem instead.

In 2012, Cuen moved to Israel to further her career in writing and journalism. [undefined] While based in Tel Aviv, her articles appeared in several publications including Al Jazeera English, Salon, The Jerusalem Post, Yedioth Ahronoth (Ynet), Culture Magazine, and World Literature Today. [undefined] In addition, her creative writing has been published in the International Museum of Women, Poetica Magazine, Dagda Publishing and War, Literature & the Arts. [undefined] During her time there, Cuen would stay in the homes of different Palestinian familes as well as an Israeli family. Freelance Journalism and Cryptocurrency Coverage 2015-Present

Cuen first heard about Bitcoin in 2015 when she was working at a media company in Tel Aviv with a team of darknet experts who trained in elite military units.

Her manager assigned her to write a story on the subject of people buying drugs with cryptocurrency.
