Leah Binder

An expert on hospital transparency and the business of healthcare, Leah Binder is president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, a national non-profit leader and advocate in hospital transparency, which launched the Hospital Safety Score -- the A, B, C, D or F score assigned to hospitals based on infections, injuries, and medical and medication errors.

Before joining Leapfrog in the Spring of 2008, Binder spent eight years as vice president at an award-winning Franklin Community Health Network in Farmington, ME.

Previously, she was a senior policy advisor for Mayor Rudolph Giuliani in New York City.

Binder started her career at the National League for Nursing, where she handled policy and communications for more than six years.
