Layah Heilpern is a television journalist and broadcaster who specializes in the topics of cryptocurrency, fintech, and politics. She has reported for multiple outlets across Europe and is currently the host of Altcoin Buzz Spotlight.[4]
Education
Heilpern attended the University of Leeds from 2015 to 2017 and was active in the Leeds Student Radio and Leeds Student Television clubs. Her areas of study were in Broadcast Journalism, Radio and Television. Layah had her own radio show at the university, 'Nostalgia Night', where she focused on a different genre and era of music each week.[9]
Career
Layah showed early interest in hosting and producing radio shows.
In the summer of 2015 she was employed at Camp Barney Medintz in Georgia, where she ran the radio station and taught children and young adults the proper skills to running and producing a quality radio show.[9]
Early Work
Journalism and Reporting
She interned and worked at the BBC as a researcher, producer and presenter. Her projects included the BBC Stories pilot video commemorating the murder of Stephen Lawrence, and the Paradise Papers, an investigative journalism report. She was also an editor, presenter and journalist with News at Leeds and was briefly a business and finance correspondent for China's Global TV Network in the fall of 2019.
Cryptocurrency and Fintech

In the fall of 2018, she began her broadcasting career in the world of cryptocurrencies. She was the producer and anchor for the world's first blockchain and crypto news network, BlockLive TV, based in Malta. She anchored the main show on the network, where she interviewed popular figures in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space and presented many news stories.[9]
