Lauren Casey (Meteorologist) born 14th January 1982 in Lancaster, Philadelphian United States, is an American broadcast meteorologist who currently works for CBS 3 Philadelphia, and can be seen on the Weather team of the Eyewitness News and also Evening News in Philadelphia. She has worked for several other television stations, but since she joined CBS 3, Lauren has received national attention.

Lauren Casey was born on the 14th January 1982 in Lancaster, Philadelphia USA, she grew up in South Jersey and considers this place home. She was raised by her mother and grandparents.

After finishing high school she enrolled at Rutgers University, from which she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology in 2006.

In spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, and has visited such places as Zion Park, Glacier National Park (U.S.), the Grand Canyon, and Grand Teton National Park.

During her years at Rutgers, Lauren did her internship at the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey, and also completed a trainee course at WCAU in Philadelphia. Following her graduation, she found a job in Macon, Georgia as she was hired as a meteorologist at WMGT-DT. She stayed there for the next two years, gaining highly needed experience for her further career, reporting on severe weather – Tornado, hailstorms, and other natural disasters.

In late 2008 she changed Macon for Fort Myers, Florida and WMGT-DT2 for WINK-TV; the job was rather similar, and here she remained three years. Her next stop was the cold Minnesota and St. Paul, where she joined WCCO-TV in 2011, and lasted until 2015, during which her popularity increased, and she became one of the most praised meteorologists of the station. However, it was in 2015 that she decided to leave her job, mostly because of family issues; reportedly, she moved to Philadelphia to be closer to her mother.

Her move to Philadelphia turned out to be a smart move for her career as well; she joined CBS 3 and her role at the station improved from being a meteorologist to hosting several news shows, including Evening News in Philadelphia, and Eyewitness News, which made her a star meteorologist.
