Laia Manzanares born 30 March 1994, in Barcelona, Spain, is a Spanish actress best known for her role as the cheerleader and love interest in the Tame Impala's 2015 music video for The Less I Know the Better, which became a sleeper hit and cult classic is an actress, known for her appearances in several Spanish films and television projects. She gain her start in the entertainment industry through acting in music videos, such as “The Less I Know the Better” by Tame Impala.
Early Life
Laia was born in 1994,in Barcelona to a Valencian father and Catalan mother. She was educated at the Institut Públic XXV Olimpiada high school and the Col·legi de Teatre, for two years, in Barcelona.
She has a brother named Guillermo.
She posted a photo of her and her dad on her third birthday to Instagram in March 2017.
Personal
Manzanares was inspired to act professionally after watching Uma Thurman as Beatrix "The Bride" Kiddo in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 1 and being impressed by the character's strength of personality.
Hoping to inspire others in the same way, she expressed her hope to work with high school or elementary school students to help instill self confidence in young people going through the "most vulnerable" periods in their lives.
Between castings she worked as a waitress and had she not become an actress she would have studied psychology.
One of her first appearances was in the music video entitled “The Less I Know The Better” by Tame Impala.
Tame is a psychedelic music project in Australia created by Kevin Parker, who does most of the work on the music. As a touring act, other band members are also involved, and are signed to Interscope Records in the US, and Fiction Records in the UK. The video was released in 2016, and attracted numerous nominations.
Career
Shortly after appearing in the music video, Manzanares’ popularity grew significantly, and she then appeared in the competition called “El Gran Dictat” of “The Great Dictation”.
The show began in 2009 and was broadcast during weekend nights.
The contestants compete using the technicalities of language in Catalan.
There are several tests including finding the wrong word, trying to associate two images to a word, or finding the missing lyric in a song.
The most successful contestant managed to win over 98,000 euro and this occurred in 2015.

As denoted by the name, the episode approaches one of the philosophies or school the philosopher established including They’ve dealt with Peripatetic school, Schopenhauer Society, and Nietzsche. The rights to the show was bought by Netflix, and it aired in the United States in Catalan as well as in Spanish.
