Kyle Mitchell

Kyle Mitchell

Kyle Mitchell is a student at Texas Tech University. [1]

Personal Life

He is the former president of the Texas Tech Interfraternity Council.

In the Media

On Friday June 23, 2018, Mitchell resigned from his position as president after his disparaging online statements about illegal immigrants went viral on social media.

The conversation, labeled “Frat Chat,” involved Mitchell and other students.

In screenshots of the texts, Mitchell appears to write, “let’s argue about immigration” and others in the chat began responding with anti-immigration sentiments such as, “Don’t bother reporting them just use a firing squad,” and, “We should deport only the unathletic illegals our soccer team needs some help.”
