Kristina Thoren
Kristina Thoren is a student at Cornell University, Class of 2018. She is a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Thoren hails originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL. In 2017, she was accused of calling a black student an offensive racial slur through Tinder. While Thoren claimed that it was caused by a "hacker", the incident is still under investigation.
Career
Thoren serves as a Research Intern at the Hurricane Research Division of AOML / NOAA.
Education
Thoren is studying Atmospheric Science.
She went to American Heritage School,
in Plantation, Florida. She was President of the Black, Gold and Green club.
Racism on Tinder
In 2016, Thoren called Whittier College student Detrick Manning, an African-american homosexual and a Nigger on Tinder, a popular dating app. The conversation was in Tinder's group function, which lets group of friends converse together.
Manning exposed the Tinder messages, but Thoren claims that her computer was hacked.
These claims have yet to be proven or disproven.
