Kirvanna Jones is an American mathematicsteacher. She taught at Engineering and Science University Magnet Middle and High School, which is a New Haven public school located in Hamden, Connecticut.

She is a graduate from University of Hartford and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics along with a certificate to teach Secondary Mathematics.

On May 24, 2016, Jones was arrested over allegations that she had a sexual relationship with one of her students.

She was on paid administrative leave as her case is investigated by Connecticut Department of Children and Families. The district said they don't plan to renew her contract.

The claim against alleges the victim suffered extreme pain and suffering.

The notice points out that the incident occurred in November and December of 2015.

The New Haven Police Department police warrant indicates that she had sexual intercourse with the student on December 2, and that they also an exchange of explicit photos before their encounter.

She is also charged with at risk of injury to a child.

Both charges are felony counts.
