Kiana Shek is a Singapore based master of International finance, tech marketing expert, and self-proclaimed perfectionist. She is the co-founder of cryptocurrency exchange platform, DigiFinex. ^[1]

Shek started studying Managerial Economics at the Hang Seng School of Commerce. She earned her Bachelor's degree in International Business at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She went on to attend HKUST Business School and finished earning her Master's in International Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. ^[undefined]

Like many professionals in international finance, Shek started her career with a couple of high profile internships.

She first interned at L'Oreal where she organized campus recruitment, assisted in events and campaigns, compiled training feedback, and coordinated interviews after screening resumes. Later she went on to intern at Allianz Global Investors where she spent time on anti money laundering compliance, and worked closely with the investment team.

She then had a the opportunity to dive into the corporate pool when she became a part of the CXO of the Future program at City Telecom (Hong Kong), where she attended global industry events as a co-speaker, worked with over 20 departments, and shadowed current CXOs. ^[undefined]

Next, she snagged a job at Hong Kong Broadband Network /CVC Capital Partners where she helped establish a Chinese team as a Manager of International Business. Three years later she was promoted to Manager of Strategic Development and New Projects, a role that left her responsible for defining strategies and expanding partnership networks. Finally, she was promoted to Senior Manager of Corporate Relations where she helped the company reach a wildly successful $750 million dollar IPO. ^{[undefined] [undefined]}

In 2015 Shek began to explore the tech world.

She became the the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Baidu, Inc. Here she was responsible for marketing all technical products, like cloud solutions, big data, and AI. She also began actively seeking out new investment opportunities for big data partnerships. Two and a half years later she was promoted to Deputy General Manager where she focused on business development and government partnerships. One of her primary duties was exploring opportunities with local governments for the testing and operation of driverless vehicles. ^[undefined]

In 2018 Shek became the co-founder of cryptocurrency exchange platform, DigiFinex.
