Kevin Tibbles is an award winning Canadian journalist based in Chicago, Illinois. He is a network manager at NBC News. [1] He makes regular appearances on NBC Nightly News, Today, MSNBC, and Meet the Press .
Education
Tibbles graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
Career
Prior to joining the Chicago bureau, Kevin Tibbles was a foreign correspondent for NBC Network News based in London.
Before joining NBC News, Tibbles was a National Correspondent for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation where his coverage experience included Germany following the fall of the Berlin Wall and the first Gulf War.
Tibbles was at the scene of Princess Diana's funeral in London, as well several bombings in Baghdad and in the flooded wards of New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. He was also stationed in Chicago’s Grant Park for the 2008 U.S. presidential election.
Even in the NBC, Kevin Tibbles created and headed the series ' Meeting America' on Meet the Press and ‘America’s Correspondent’ and ‘We The People’ for NBC Nightly News .
Awards
Tibbles has been honored with four Emmy awards, a Peabody award, the National Headliner Award, the Overseas Press Club Award and an award from the National Association of Black Journalists.
