He graduated from Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He lost his first wife Diane to cancer in 2001. He has since remarried. Pharr lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

Host Of In Your Corner

Pharr is the author of nine books. In 1997, he wrote the inspirational book "Fight The Good Fight", which details his story of personal redemption and how he survived and even thrived as a professional boxing manager and trainer.

Pharr is the author of the Amazon.com Best Seller "How to Box-Training for Boxing." He also served on the State of Tennessee Boxing Advisory Board for six years. Kerry Pharr has been a trainer of professional boxers most of his life. Former lightweight champion Sean O’Grady once said that “Kerry Pharr is one of the good guys in professional boxing.”

In Your Corner

He also hosts In Your Corner, which is a television program seen around the world every Monday morning at 1:30am ET on the Daystar (TV network) and NRB television networks. The program is based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Established in 2008, In Your Corner has over 200 episodes and has featured Evander Holyfield, James Bonecrusher Smith, Troy Dorsey and Gene Hatcher as well as former NFL players Raymond Berry, Chris Sanders, Greg Gaines and Hall of Fame country music star Jimmy Fortune.

Trained John Tate & Keith McKnight

During Pharr's thirty plus year involvement in boxing he trained and promoted many top rated professional boxers.

He managed and co-trained Keith McKnight. McKnight defeated Iran Barkley in the professional ranks. In his long career in boxing, Pharr worked with Muhammad Ali, John Tate, Randall "Tex" Cobb and many other famous athletes. He is also the owner of TKO Concrete.
