Kenna Hei is a hotographer and Instagram model based in New York City. She is originally from Saint Petersburg, Florida. ^[12] As of August of 2017, Kenna's primary Instagram account amassed 24.7K followers. ^[6]

McKenna grew up in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She has never met her biological father and was raised by a single mother early in her life. Her mother married her current step-father and has lived a pretty normal life. As a child, Kenna would model and act and from time to time takes up smaller modeling jobs. Spending time in the studio made Kenna interested in how modeling worked behind the scenes, specifically with photography. She took up photography in middle school and took portrait photographs of the composition around her neighborhood. During high school, she continued with her hobby using a Nikon camera until it was stolen. The event devasted her, but she persisted using a small Kodak 1-15mm. Before her first year of college, Kenna moved from Saint Petersburg to Newport, Rhode Island where she saved up for a Canon Rebel t5i, a DSLR camera. ^[12]

Kenna moved back to St. Petersburg, Florida to attend college and started to network in the areas local music industry. She started working for a local magazine that would assign her to cover small concerts. During her last semester of her sophomore year, Kenna became a concert promoter in the area. She went on to graduate with an Associate degree in Communications. In the fall of 2017, Kenna is moving to New York City to attend school while also attending to her photography craft and concert promoting hustle. ^[11]

Kenna has an affinity to the ocean and marine life, and has several tattoos of marine animals.
