Katelyn Ogle (born on April 8,1992) is an American journalist who works as the Alert Desk Anchor for News 9.[1]
Personal Life
Katelyn Ogle was born on April 8, 1992 in Edmond, Oklahoma, United States. Every year she celebrates her birthday on 8 April.
Her father, Kevin Bowman Ogle, and her uncle, Kent Ogle are anchors in the local affiliate of the NBC, while her elder sister, Abigail Ogle, is an anchor and reporter for the local affiliate of the ABC. Her other uncle, Kelly Ogle, is also working close to her office at News 9.[3]
In her family, broadcasting origins goes great and she feels fulfilled to uphold the heritage.
Career
In 2018, Katelyn Ogle started her career at University of Central Oklahoma in her senior year where she worked as an intern at News 9.
She became the Alert Desk Anchor immediately after her graduation and she periodically reports.[4]
Alex Cameron, who was one of her professors at UCO, also produces News 9 at Noon with her.
In Oklahoma, Katelyn reported anything from regional to foreign headline, state and national elections and human-interest stories.[6]
Awards
Katelyn has won several honors from the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association for her work at UCO including best on-air talent.
Trivia
She loves skateboarding, surfing, playing video games, traveling to new hammock locations and spending time with her chihuahua, Giselle, when she isn't at work.
