Kate Armand was a resident of King City, Oregon. ^[1] She was shot dead by her estranged husband, James Tylka, on December 25, 2016 in a domestic violence homicide. ^[1]

Police were called to a home on SW King James Place in King City, Oregon around 10 p.m. on December 25, 2016, for a possible shots fired incident. When they arrived, they found her body outside the house.

James Tylka fled the scene, and was killed in a shootout with police in Sherwood, Oregon.

She attended Kelso High School. ^[1] Kate is survived by her one-year-old daughter. ^[1] She worked as a Med Tech at a senior retirement home.
