Justin Whang

Justin Whang is a content creator on YouTube, musician, and Brave (web browser) publisher. He is best known for his YouTube series "Tales from the Internet" in which he investigates and explains complicated stories or unsolved mysteries from internet culture. [2] [1] [3]

Whang joined YouTube on May 21, 2016.

The following day, he uploaded his first video, a Let's Play of the NES game The Addams Family.

He began seeing success doing more variety-type of videos, such as "1 Minute of Kim Kardashian Vocal Fry," which was posted November 5th, 2016 and gained over 440,000 views.

He began seeing increased success with his "Tales from the Internet" series, where he explained conspiracy theories, unsolved mysteries, and similar internet ephemera. One of his first major popular videos in the series documented the theory that Taylor Swift was once a regular 4chan user. The video, posted March 5, 2018, gained over 655,000 views. To date, his most popular video is "The Max Headroom Incident: Who Did It?", posted May 10, 2018, which gained over 1.3 million views. [2]

Whang is on Twitter, where he has over 12,000 followers, and Facebook, where he has over 1,400 followers. His career was summarized by CrimsonStudios, who made a joke about how people sometimes confuse Whang with Jonathan Ke Quan, who played "Data" in the film The Goonies, a character whose full name is Richard "Data" Wang. Justin Whang is based in Queens, New York and has played in numerous metal bands. He currently plays guitar in the band Jynx. [1]
