Julieanne Kost is an American digital artist and teacher and the Principal Imaging Evangelist for Adobe. She is based in San Jose, California.
Education
Kost attended the University of California, Davis and graduated with a degree in Psychology in 1990. She earned her Associates in Arts in Photography from Foothill College in 1993.
Career
Kost started her career as a Digital Imaging Librarian at Acuson for two years.
She was first hired by Adobe in 1992 as a Technical Support Specialist and two years later became a Graphic Designer where she was responsible for creating, gathering capturing and editing original digital video, photographs and illustrations for the Technical Publications department.
In 1998, Kost became the Principal Imaging Evangelist for Adobe.
She was named one of Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business" and is in charge of creating Photoshop and Lightroom instruction program for customers.
She often serves as a guest lecturer at distinguished photography workshops, industry events, and leading educational institutions around the world.
She’s a contributing columnist and author for a variety of print and online publications and has created over 500 instructional videos as the host of Adobe’s “The Complete Picture” featuring Lightroom and Photoshop, serves as producer and instructor of the “Lightroom Getting Started” and “What’s New in Lightroom,” training courses, as well as the “Revitalize your Workflow with Lightroom” seminar on CreativeLive.
