Jules Wainstein (born February 2, 1981) is a TV Personality, Fashion Designer, and Businesswoman known for making an appearance on The Real Housewives of New York City.
Personal Life
Jules Wainstein was born on February 2, 1981 in Hong Kong, China.
Jules studied fashion designing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City.
She married CEO and Founder, Private Capital Group, Michael Wainstein in 2008, she was 27 years old.
She and her husband had two chidren together a daughter named Rio Wainstein and a son Jagger Wainstein.
Jules caught Michael having an alleged affair with her friend, and her relationship with her husband turned sour.
Michael filed for divorce on June 15, 2016.
This lead to court sessions where a series of allegations arose and the allegations included physical assaults and abuse.
She also accused Michael of being self-centered and fulfilling his needs and ignoring his children’s needs.
Micheal's lawyer Mark Jay Heller claimed that Jules's allegations against Micheal were false.
On that same day, their divorce was finalized.
In June 2017, Michael refused to pay the child support $135K US Dollars, claiming that "Jules lavish lifestyle had him bankrupt and she was to blame for all of the mess". This made him receive prison punishment.
Career
Following her father's footsteps, Jules became a fashion entrepreneur, by attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she graduated,
She then began working as an assistant buyer and designer for a boutique fashion company.
She also worked as an event planner for the Women’s International Zionist Organization, which raises money for schools and senior women in Israel.
She got casted into The Real Housewives of New York City season eight in 2016, she was just 35 years old. She was the only married woman on the eighth season.
On September 2016, she left the show for personal reasons.
She also made TV appearance in Hollywood Today Live, FabLife, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and American Mirror: Intimations of Immortality.
Jules, is also the president of her own beverage company called Modern Alkeme; a Japanese detox super drink that she co-created with American composer.
Controversy
On 23rd February 2020 around 3:50 p.m.
Jules was arrested by the police for allegedly punching her husband Michael in the face.
He was dropping off their kids at her house, when she took a baseball bat and threatened him with it.
They were there for the custody exchange and she had hit him in front of their kids.
According to their phone conversation, Jules had threatened him for child support.
She punched and scratched his face and the police noticed a red mark on his left cheek and a small scratch on his nose.
Jules was kept in the jail in Palm Beach County’s main detention center and released on the 24th February, 2020.
Likewise, she appeared in the court on the 24th February, 2020 and also made appearance the next day.
