Joshua Hoffman (born October 16, 1999) is a TV actor known for his role as Rudy Rosales in the Nickelodeon telenovela-formatted teen sitcom Talia in the Kitchen.[1]
He is also known for his role as Dylan Orlando in the Disney Channel spin off-series Girl Meets World.[1]
Early Life
Joshua was born on October 16, 1999 in Los Angeles, California. His parents’ names are unknown, he has an older sister.
He grew up watching movies and TV shows, the first time he saw a Nickelodeon show was at his friend’s house. As a kid, he has always loved music and tried to create a band with his friends but it didn’t work out.
He was in high school but when he started casting for Talia in the Kitchen in 2015, had to switch to home schooling because sending his assignments to his teachers from half way across the country would be difficult.
Career
He began his career when he began performing at the Performing Arts Center in productions of Oliver and 13.
He also pursued his career in music as he is a skilled pianist, guitarist, singer and songwriter.
His first role was in Criminal Minds in 2005, from then on he got casted in shows like as Dylan Orlando in the Disney Channel spin off-series Girl Meets World and as Les from Showtime's Shameless and Code Black in 2015.
He entered into the limelight, when he landed the role of Rudy Rosales in the Nickelodeon telenovela-formatted teen sitcom “Talia in the Kitchen” which premiered on July 6, 2015.
He open his own YouTube channel when he was still very young, he uploads instructional videos on legal online video game hacking and tech. He also has another YouTube channel where he uploads his songs, instrumentals and covers.
He is trained at parkour, he learnt it at one of his colleague’s cousin’s pakour gym. Because of this, he does his stunts by himself and has no need of a stunt double.
He is also a quite known singer and goes by the pseudonym Calvin Kingston.
Personal Life
Whenever he watches himself on TV, he gets critical and starts analyzing his acting.
He is fluent in American Sign Language and during his free time gets involves in helping deaf children with sign language.
In an interview, he translated the song “Rude” by Magic.
During his free time, he likes to surf and play instruments, he can play the piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and violin.
He like classic rock music.
His favorite food and drink is Chips and hot sauce, and Sprite.
His favorite movie is Rocky.
His dream destination Alaska.
He learnt how to speak a little Spanish when he was in Miami casting for the show Talia in the Kitchen.
He is an athlete, and as won so many MVP honors in baseball and has also won six gold medals as a skier.
