Joshua Gurto is a resident in the state of Ohio. ^[1]

Gurto hails from Conneaut, Ohio. He has a deformed right ear and a misaligned jaw.

In the 1990's Gurto faced charges of receiving stolen property.

In 2010, he was charged with domestic violence but a grand jury did not return an indictment.

On October 27, 2017, Gurto was arrested in connection to the rape and murder of his girlfriend's 1-year-old daughter, Serreniti Sutley earlier in the month. ^[1]

The incident occurred at an apartment complex in Conneaut, Ohio.

^[1] Serreniti was found unresponsive and suffering from cardiac arrest in her bedroom by her 22-year-old mother.

The preliminary autopsy revealed that Sutley died from blunt force trauma to the head.

While on the run, Gurto was spotted inside a gas station in Ohio Township, Pennsylvania on October 26, 2017.

Gurto was then found at a Sheetz gas station in Franklin Park, Pennsylvania and arrested. A police officer recognized Gurto in the parking lot and asked him to identify himself. ^[1]

Gurto admitted his identity and was taken into custody without a struggle.
