Josh Paler Lin is widely known as the crazy Asian prankster on YouTube. He was a Background dancer for Music videos, including the video for "Teach Me How to Dougie." In addition, John is an aspiring actor and entrepreneur and loves entertainment and the Technology industry. As an actor, he is known for Paved New World (2018) and Seven Bucks Digital Studios (2016).

Born in Taiwan, Josh spent a couple of childhood years in Moscow, Russia, and came to the U.S by himself at the age of 17.

He has one sister who is 11 years younger than him.

Josh Paler Lin registered on YouTube on January 1, 2010, but started posting video in March, 2013. As of March, 2018 he has accumulated more than 2.7 million subscribers on YouTube. Apart from prank channel, Josh also runs vlog channel called JoshPalerLinVlogs.

"How Does a Homeless Man Spend $100?" video was viewed more than 49 million times since it was posted in December 2014.

In this video, Lin offered $100 to a 56-year-old homeless man called Kenni Thomas Nickel.

Instead of bying alcohol, Kenni bought food for other homeless people.

After the video went viral, Lin launched a Crowdfunding campaign that was said to have raised $145,873 for Nickel. After Nickel was found dead on May 8, 2015, Lin posted a condolence video and stated that funds were transferred to Nickel on 11 March. Nickel's brother, Kevin, later said in his interview that Kenni should have been sent for treatment for alcoholism, depression and other problems, not just given money. Nickel’s father, William, said that their family had not receive the money.
