Josh Buckley is Founder of MinoMonsters, a monster battle and trading game for iPhone/iPod Touch.
Career
Buckley is the youngest entrepreneur to ever secure funding from investment giant Andreessen Horowitz.
He got his start at the age of 11 as a programmer and by 15 sold his business for a hefty sum, traveled the world and began investing in some of his friends' startup ventures.
In 2011 he came up with the idea for MinoMonsters, raising $2 million in seed funding and becoming the #1 grossing iPhone game.
Buckley started very early, teaching himself to program at 11 and building websites for customers.
At 14, he was producing programming tutorials.
Inspired by Zantami, an online community where he helped out, he created his own: Menewsha.
He focused on making it a fun experience for its users by developing an internal economy so users could exchange Menewsha coins for stuff on the forum.
This helped promote and retain users.
He sold Menewsha for a high five digit sum in 2007.
After this exist, Buckley sought to get involved in Silicon Valley.
This led to a successful investment by him in DailyBooth.
He was also accepted into Y Combinator in 2010 at the age of 18.
