Johnathan Robinson

Johnathan Robinson

Johnathan Robinson is a convicted felon residing in Shreveport, Louisiana. [2] [1]

Personal Life & Criminal history

Robinson dated Rannita Williams on and off. He was previously arrested for two attempted murder charges, battery of a police officer and other battery charges dating back since 2000. Before murdering Rannita he had spent over ten years in prison already. [2]

In the Media

On Thursday April 12, 2018, Robinson allegedly shot and killed Williams while she was streaming on Facebook Live. [3]

Williams can be heard saying, “My page has been blocked, that’s why I’m going live” as Johnathan stands in the background and tells her to apologize.

[3]

“This Nunu, I’m blocked off my page.

So I had to go online on ----- phone.

I ain’t had no intention to going live like that.

I apologize to everybody.”

As she speaks, Johnathan continues to ask her, “Wanna be famous?”.

He also asked, “You really think I’m worried about the police right now?” as he continues to pace behind her.

[3]

Robinson then allegedly got a rifle from somewhere in the house — and fired six shots. Williams’ phone fell to the floor facing the ceiling as she shouted, “Stop, Johnathan!". The last voice in the video was him saying "Now, bitch. Game over". Rannita was struck multiple times in the knee, torso, and upper body area. Rannita's brother, Jamarsay Williams, managed to escape and call the police. [3]

Aftermath

In January of 2019, Johnathan Robinson, pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of Rannita Williams. When officers resonded to the scene there was an 80 minute standoff and one officer was shot in the wrist. Robinson told investigators that he woke up that morning with the intent of killing his former girlfriend and having a shootout with officers. [4]

Johnathan avoided the death penalty through a plea deal and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. After the sentencing he asked to speak with Rannita's mother Anita Williams. He told her "I'm so sorry I did what I did. I know I hurt a lot of people, myself, I hope one day you forgive me for what I did" Anita replied "I forgave you already." [5]

Prior to the incident, Johnathan had served over ten years in prison for robbery and shooting a man in the leg. [6]
