John used to work at Fiamma, a Recreational vehicle accessory business. In June 2014, he was involved in an incident where he battered one of his coworkers; subsequently, no charges were filed. He was fired from his position in April 2017.
Shooting at Fiamma
On the morning of June 5th, around 8 am, John walked into his former workplace armed with a gun and a knife.
He first pointed a gun at a temp worker and told her to "get out."
Almost immediately, first responders were dispatched to the scene and arrived at 8:07 am.
Before they arrived, John proceeded to kill 5 of the employees at the company including Kevin Lawson, Robert Snyder, Brenda Montañez-Crespo, Kevin Clark, and Jeffrey Roberts before turning the gun on himself. Police describe the scene as a tragic incident and believe that John deliberately planned his attack.
Personal Life
John was an Army veteran and was honorably discharged in 1999.
He has a minor criminal history and has a marijuana possession, a DUI, and a misdemeanor battery charge on his record.
A neighbor described John as having anger issues, but was generally was a nice guy who seemed like something was bothering him.
He lives alone and has no family in the area.
