John Mendoza is an American legendary Comedian known for delighting audiences with his "deadpan" comedy since appearing on Star Search in 1984. [1] Mendoza has left his mark on the comedy scene, appearing in top televison shows such as Yes Dear , Two and half men , Dharma & Greg, and NYPD Blue. He even hosted his own Showtime Comedy Superstars Special in 1995, "John Mendoza: Over Easy." In 2006, Mendoza was featured on the Kings of Comedy Vol.2.
Background
John Mendoza is a New Yorker who grew up there for most of his life.
Career
He is a former liquor company employee before he decided to give comedy a chance.
After taking a few lessons, he decided to give comedy a chance.
His first comedy club was New York City's Catch a Rising Star, in 1976.
His performance was a revelation.
He says of his very first experience: "That an average Joe could get up there and do that.
I thought what a great way to make a living, just making people laugh."

Since being a part of the comedy scene throughout New York City, he appeared on "Star Search" in 1984.
