Joelle Dalgleish was a 15-year-old from Cobb County, Georgia. ^[2]

Joelle grew up in Georgia and attended Harrison High School where she was in 10th grade. An athlete, Joelle was a member of her school's cross-country team. Her coach said that she was "one of the sweetest and happiest people you will ever meet." She is remembered for her infectious smile and uplifting spirit. ^[2]

On the evening of May 19th, Joelle was on a camping trip at Red Top Mountain State Park. A tree that was holding the hammock she was sleeping on collapsed on her while she was sleeping. Joelle was transported to Erlanger Medical Center to be treated for a fractured skull and spinal damage. She later died from her injuries. ^[2]

Joelle's funeral is planned for Thursday, May 25 at North Metro Church in Marietta at 6 pm.
