Joel Michael Guy Jr

Joel Michael Guy Jr

Joel Guy Jr. is a 28 year from Knoxville, Tennessee who stabbed his parents to death, dismembered them, and tried to dissolve their remains in an acid-based solution sometime between Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend of 2016. He was studying to become a Plastic surgeon. [1]

First-Degree Murder

On Tuesday he was found at his Baton rouge apartment on a fugitive warrant issued by the Knox County Sheriff's Office. Guy was arrested for the murder of his father Joel Michael Guy Sr. (61), and his mother Lisa Guy (55).

Tennessee deputies found the couple's bodies scattered across multiple rooms of their home outside of Knoxville on Monday afternoon after his mother's worried coworkers reported she'd missed a scheduled meeting, MacLean said.

Inside the home, deputies found a "horrific, very gruesome crime scene" as well as signs of a struggle.

While a motive is not clear, investigators believe his parents were going to cut him off financially and had planned to talk to him over Thanksgiving about the matter.

Crime Scene

Michael MacLean, a core subject is Knox County Sheriff's Office, has described the crime scene as "gruesome". There were still remains found throughout the house. Guy Jr. tried to place some of the remains in an acid-Solution he made on his own.

MacLean also said

"It would be described as horrific - a very gruesome crime scene"

Enough evidence give indications that the parents put up a struggle.
