Jim Rogers is an American businessman, investor, and author. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Demopolis, Alabama.

In 1964, he graduated from Yale University with a degree in History.

In 1973, he and George Soros started the Quantum Fund, a private hedge fund that gained 4200% by 1980. This let Rogers retire by the age of 37 and spend his time traveling the world.

Today, he, his wife, and two daughters live in Singapore.

Rogers relocated to Asia because he believes that the 21st Century will belong to China.
