Jessica Vallejo (born May 3, 1989) is a journalist from Miami, Florida. Jessica has been working at the media station when she report events that has been a national issues. Her role in reporting first hand events on the “Helicopter crash” at mid-town makes her a brave reporter.
Early life & education
Jessica Vallejo was born in Cuba. Jessica attend University of Miami where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Pre-med. She then later graduated with her Masters Degree in Journalism.
Professional life
Jessica Vallejo officially began her career as a reporter in Odessa, Texas, where she covered the Mexico–United States border in Terlingua. She later went live on air for continuous coverage during Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas and told the stories of rescue search missions sharing revelation during devastation at that time.
After a year later, her passion grow and led her to another part of the United States.
She move to New York City, where she describe the city as great for it lights, and culture. The stories she reported led her to FiOS1 news as a reporter, where she spent about two years reporting in all different Boroughs of New York City.
Jessica was the first journalist to report “The accident of helicopter crash” that happen in midtown and also a power outage that hit thousands in the heart of Manhattan. She also broadcast the Measles outbreak in Rockland County, and multiple snowstorms. There are countless of events over the past years that Jessica has reported such as the surge of unaccompanied children crossing the border into the NYC area and stories on the “success of immigrant families”.
Interests
When she is not on duty, Jessica enjoys viewing artwork, dancing ballet, eating Cuban food and also spend time with her family.
Jessica’s passion is helping others accomplished their goal.
She also enjoys lending her time to numerous charities, where she do her part in community growth and development.
