Jessica Powell is an American author based in San Francisco, California. She is the former Vice-President of Communications at Google.

Powell graduated from Stanford University in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in comparative literature.

She began her career in 1997 as a freelance journalist and translator. In 2000 she became a Market Analyst at Argus Media. From 2002 to 2004 she worked at Confédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Auteurs et Compositeurs as a Director of Communications.

In 2006, Powell joined Google as a Head of EMEA Product and Engineering PR. Later, she also had positions of Director of Communications and Public Affairs and VP of Communications. From 2011 to 2012, she worked as a Chief marketing officer at Badoo.

Powell is the author of the novel "The Big Disruption : A Totally Fictional but Essentially True Silicon Valley Story".
