Jessica and Nicole Alexander
Jessica and Nicole Alexander
Jessica and Nicole Alexander are New Jersey high school seniors who got in to five Ivy League schools. The story went viral and was covered by New York Post, The Boston Globe, CBS News and so many
In March 26, 2020, Jessica and Nicole Alexander got the acceptance letters from Harvard University, Princeton University, Yale University, Dartmouth University and the University of Pennsylvania.[1]
Asked if they had expected all five acceptances, Nicole said she was surprised.
Jessica, however, said that although cautious, she "often thought, well, we’ve put in the time, the hard work, and we have the grades.
I don’t see why we can’t get in."[3]
The twins said in a statement from Clifton Public Schools in New Jersey:
"The moment we opened the acceptance notifications with our families and seeing the joy on our parents' faces was everything."[1]
The sisters are on student council, they sing, volunteer and each are student-athletes, but they didn't do any of those things with the idea of "putting it on a college application," the statement reads.[1]
The Alexander sisters will be the first generation of their family to attend college, and they credit their parents for pushing them to get there.[1]
