Jen Lask
Jen Lask is an Emmy Award Winning Producer, Multimedia Journalist, Reporter, Digital Content Producer, Blogger, Photographer, Content Curation, Social Media, and Business Storytelling gury. She is a reporter who works in WCIA TV. She’s thrilled to be sharing stories in her home state of Illinois.[1] Asides reporting news, she is also a Food Blogger (Chews and News) and a Rookie golfer with a hole-in-one.
Education
Storytelling has always played a prominent role in Jen’s life.
Her love of the fine arts, combined with a passion for politics, led her to the University of Missouri, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Career
Upon graduation, Jen joined the morning team at Louisville’s NBC-affiliate, WAVE 3 News, earning an Emmy Award in 2015 for producing breaking news coverage. S
he then began working at Fox 6 in Milwaukee in 2016, where she not only produced the top-rated 6 a.m. morning newscast, but also had the opportunity to field-produce political coverage.
While living in Milwaukee, Jen also turned her passion for food into a blog called Chews and News[5], telling the stories behind the plates at various restaurants and farmers markets in Southeastern Wisconsin.
She joined WCIA TV 3 team in May 2019.
Personal
When Jen’s not covering a story for WCIA, she is exploring restaurants in Central Illinois, working on her golf game (she made a hole in one while playing in a rookie league!) and playing Broadway or Billy Joel on the piano.
