Jeff Bonar is a Police officer for the Flagstaff Police Department.
Allegations
On November 16, 2016, Officer Bonar was recorded on video punching Marissa Morris in the face while trying to detain and question her for probable outstanding warrants.
She was not complying with the officer.
In Bonar’s report, he claims Morris kicked him and kneed him in the groin, which prompted the punch.
It is unknown when the what happened before the video started but from the start she is not complying as the office was detaining her until able to check for warrants then if no warrants was found claimed that he was going to let her go despite her clearly resisting the whole time.
