Jay Zhang is the Founder and Chief Finance Officer of VeChain. He founded the company along with Sunny Lu.

He is starting his adventure in blockchain technology with VeChain and his main role is to build up a strong financial framework, corporate governance, and accounting principle for Vechain business.^[1]

He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2002.^[2]

Jie joined PwC China after graduating from college in 2002 with a major in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

He worked for PwC China and Deloitte UK as a senior manager in finance and risk management for 15 years before he co-founded VeChain in 2015. He is in charge of VeChain's global corporate structure, governance, and financial management. ^{[3] [1]}

He has over 14 years of working experience in finance, accounting management, internal control assurance and advisory experience. He has also gained extensive knowledge of enterprise finance and business process management, regulatory requirements, trends of corporate internal controls, and internal control framework, SOX / CSOX, enterprise risk management.

He has 14 years of experience in IT assurance and advisory services.

His major areas of expertise and experience include IT General controls, IT security, IT governance and risk management, system application Controls, etc.

He serves clients from various industries, not only financial institutes (insurance, banking & capital markets, investment clients, etc.) but also manufactures, pharmaceutical, healthcare, transportations, energy and resourcing, etc.

He began his journey in blockchain technology with VeChain, building up a strong financial framework, corporate governance, and accounting principles for Vechain business.^[2]

His role will drive the whole entity's economics to thrive continuously in the future.

He is currently a partner at VeChain Technologies.^[2]
