Jason Mills
Jason Thomas Mills is a 38-year-old man from Fredericktown, Missouri who is currently serving a 15-year sentence in federal prison for pleading guilty in September 2015 to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Allegations
Mills has also been charged with assault in the third degree, unlawful use of a weapon, tampering in the first degree and resisting arrest.
Prior to being arrested, Mills had been evading the police for nearly five years.
In one incident in 2010, Mills was driving a stolen truck containing meth lab component and ammunition while being chased by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
During the chase, Mills crashed and fled on foot.
Shortly thereafter, Mills was found in a second stolen vehicle but evaded capture once again, leaving behind a.38-caliber pistol.
In 2014, County Sheriff’s deputies went to Mills' home in search of a stolen truck.
Mills arrived at his house shortly after the police reached his home and attempted to drive away with deputies clinging to the vehicle.
After one of the deputies removed the keys, Mills ran off.
However, Mills returned to the scene and threatened to shoot the deputies, shouting "I'm going to shoot you," while pulling a pistol out of his pocket.
Mills was quickly apprehended and was discovered to be in possession of meth paraphernalia and a plastic bag containing pseudoephedrine pills.
Escape
On March 13th, 2016, Mills escaped from the Madison County Jail ' s recreation yard at about 3:50 p.m, Mills is suspected to be driving a dark green 2003 Ford F250 pickup truck with "Madison County Road and Bridge" on the side and "#929" on the front fenders, he was last spotted in Franklin County but is suspected to be heading towards Union, Missouri.
Mills is still on the run with a $5,000 USD offer rewarded leading with information to his capture.
