Jason Huan

Jason Yu Huan is an American computer scientist and graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a co-founder of Frax Finance, a stablecoin project founded by UCLA alumni. [1]

Education

Huan graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in computer science.[1]

In 2017, Huan co-founded Blockchain at UCLA, a formal student-run blockchain community. Huan went onto help create UCLA's first blockchain course as an undergraduate, lecturing and serving as a teaching assistant from 2018-2021.[1]

Career

In late 2019, Sam Kazemian reached out to Huan about the first version of Frax Finance, then called Decentral Bank.

Huan had formerly met Kazemian through his student club Blockchain at UCLA, while on an office visit to Everipedia in 2018.

Kazemian's initial vision grew into Frax, at which point the two ran into each other at the UCLA John Wooden Center gym.

Huan joined as a co-founder in mid-2020, and helped develop and launch the project in late 2020.[1]

Trivia

Huan hails from Minnesota, where he grew up. His family is from Shanghai, China.
