The police were called to the scene and shot the dog which prompted a further investigation by Crawford County Sheriff's office.
Crawford County Sheriff's Office sent James Hollis, a deputy who's a part of the investigations unit to the property of Goodwin.
Once there, Deputy Hollis ordered Goodwin to cut the dog's head off as it has to be tested for rabies.
In a Facebook live video posted by Goodwin, Deputy Hollis can be seen and heard arguing with Goodwin about the dog.
Deputy Hollis is heard ordering Goodwin to cut his dog's head off, with the other option having to take the dead dog to a veterinary.
Yet, as Deputy Hollis was reported to be receiving instructions through a phone call, he was adamant that Goodwin commit to doing the act himself.
