She was born and raised in San Fernando Valley.
She earned degrees in Journalism and Spanish from California State University, Northridge, and her degree in Atmospheric Sciences with a concentration in Meteorology from San Francisco State University. [3]
Career
Jacqueline Bennett began her career as a weather forecasting reporter in Boise, San Francisco, San Diego, and Boston. She is Los Angeles’ only female Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, a designation awarded by the American Meteorological Society to candidates with a degree in the Geosciences and demonstrative high-quality on-air work. She is a proud member of the American Meteorological Society.[1]
Jacqueline is a triple-negative breast cancer survivor.
She was diagnosed in Boston while pregnant with her second child, who she aptly named Grace.
She is an advocate of The Verma Foundation, which provides cap wigs free of cost to women and children battling cancer.
