On December 20,2016 Jackie Jerome Rogers confessed to cops he killed Lisa Marie Naegle. He told police that her body is buried in his backyard near Inglewood, California. Jackie had killed Lisa Marie by striking her with a hammer 7 times after taking her to a nearby Jack in the Box.

Jackie committed the murder after Lisa Marie said that she would break up with him and go back to her husband.

Lisa Marie's family confronted Rogers and caught him in a lie about Lisa Marie's disappearance. He claimed he left her at a bar early Sunday morning, but surveillance video shows she got in his SUV at 2:18 AM.

On September 24, 2018, a jury found Jackie Jerome Rogers guilty of one count of first-degree murder.

On April 8, 2019, he was sentenced to 26 years to life in prison for the murder of Lisa Marie Naegle.
