Ismarty is a smart social network that helps users like you, me & others on social smartly when sharing their moments through isays on their stories, a web application and service that allows users to share moments of texting, pictures and videos either publicly or privately.

It was created by Ibrahim Tuffboy a gifted computer geek and launched in June 2017 as a free Mobile app exclusively & smartly. A beta version for Mobile app devices was released 4 months later, on October 2017 respectively.

What are isays? Isays==Posts Well isays are likely the posts when you post something on ismarty platform that’s isaying.

What is ismartians? Ismarty + Users==ismartians Ismartians are users whom have joined the smart social network 'ismarty' therefore being called ismartians.

Ismarty began development in Mombasa, when Ibrahim Tuffboy chose to focus a programming language of Cloud computing + Python + HTML 5 project, SmartRows, on mobile architecture retail, chart-direct & geo-location. As reasoned, SmartRows became a must have which gained 900, 000 users on 2013 respectively. SmartRows was then pivoted to become more focused on moments-sharing social-engagement through isay on 2014 respectively. The word Ismarty came from the term I be smart + Smart me + Yeppy the feathery pen combined with a leaf symbol of the math equation of a simple Artificial Intelligent.

On April 8, 2013, Tuffboy closed an $87,000 revenue round with SmartRows + Freelancing and stopped working on SmartRows.

Therefore be introduced on a Hub called Swahili pot Hub by his friend called Joseph.

Tuffboy helped a lot with his Programming talents on hacking stuffs for new innovations like Augmenter Reality & Virtual Reality on helping people to reach their potentials’ for fun in May as an engineer, Tuffboy left Swahili pot hub in November 3, 2014 as star engineer, and joining Computer Planet working as a core engineer part time then he left sooner and start working on a new projects which they all didn’t brought up with his proactive solution to what will solve peoples problems as an ideal fundamentally in August 2014.

On June 16, 2014 which was Tuffboy’s birthday went back on his previous project SmartRows check-in on what he did & therefore peeved it to become ismarty on his dorm room which he decided to keep on working on it for helping users social smartly.

Ibrahim Tuffboy posted an isay the first texting + photo to Ismarty on November 12, 2015.

The photo shows a heart burn giving a brain a lift on riding a bicycle in Nairobi as the texting he isayed that “Follow your heart and take your brain with you”.

On Feb 6, 2016, the Ismarty its version was improved then Artificial Intelligent was officially plugged in on a matter of helping users on guiding them when they are using the smart platform.

On June 16, 2017, Ismarty was initially released, and it was joined more than 10,000 times in less than one day.

On October 14, 2017, Ismarty released its beta version of Android for phones, and it was downloaded more than a million times in less than one day.

Features and tools

Users can upload photos and short videos, follow other users' story feeds, and images with the name of identifying users.

Users can connect their Ismarty accounts to other social networking sites, enabling them to share uploaded photos to those sites only if a user posted an isay with a preference credential sited public.

In January 2016, Ismarty introduced Hashtags to help users discover both texting and photos the images and each other. Ismarty encourages users to make hashtags both specific and relevant, rather than tagging generic this standed out attracting like-minded Ismarty users the ismartians. In October 2017, a new beta version of the app included live filters, instant like snap isays, optional borders, one-click rotation, and an updated icon. Allowing users to upload full-size landscape and portrait photos and videos onto the service.

Later in Aug 2017, Ismarty added an "Archive" feature, letting users hide their isay posts in a private cloud storage area, out of visibility for the public and other users.

Isay are posts as well a major feature of ismarty platform which enables users on to post 512 characters automated with the AI feature on ismarty platform hence helping the texting on rearranging to an ordinary smart manner when posting about their moments like what are you doing now, what are you up to, what’s going on, and where are you actively now.

Ismarty Texting Direct

In July 2017, Ismarty announced Ismarty Texting Direct, a feature that lets users interact through private messaging.

Users who follow each other can send private messages with texting on a mail private conversation.

When users receive a private message from someone they don't follow, the message is marked as pending and the user must accept to see it instantly.

Ismarty Stories

In Aug 2017, Ismarty started allowing users to respond to Stories content by sending photos the images and videos, complete with Ismarty effects of automate AI feature such as filters, reactions, and hashtags on enhancing the automate feature.

A few days later, Ismarty announced "Story Search" on their search engine enhancing it with the automate AI feature, in which users can search for geographic preference missed moments isayed stories or hashtags and the web app displays relevant public Moments Stories content featuring the search term “Search Ismarty”.

Monetization

In July 2017, Ismarty began its monetization efforts, announcing that, "over the next couple of months", video and image ads would start appearing in between users' photos in the news feed which it’s the moment-sharing stories through isays for users and been seen globally.

A sample ad from Ismarty, featuring the text "Sponsored" at the top right of the image, will be the first to be released, as for this will be a major promotion for revenue with a limited number of brands being allowed to advertise in the early stages.

The popularity of Ismarty’s the Do’s and don’ts has led to a variety of third-party services using its functionality and adopting it into formats for terms of service and privacy concerns for safety use from smartly free services.

Examples include services for getting an overview of user statistics, printing photos the images at social moment’s events, turning a large number of photos the images into thumbnails for a smart pre-order algorithm.

Timeline algorithm

In Sept 2017, Ismarty began rolling out a change to the order of photos the images visible in a user's timeline, shifting from an none-strictly to strictly pre-order to one determined by an algorithm.

Ismarty’s CEO Ibrahim Tuffboy said “The algorithm was designed so that users would see more on how secured their information data are from other users that they liked”.

But there was significant negative feedback as Ismarty stated later that it’s working on its chronological order algorithm, allowing many users asking their followers to turn on post notifications in order to make sure they see updates.

The company works really hard to make sure it gives users the best services a possible means of ways on helping users social smartly 24/7 time framing.

Allegations of censorship

However, this statement has also been called into question due to other apps with more explicit content allowed on the store, the lack of consequences for some users exposing their bodies on Ismarty, and for inconsistent treatment of what constitutes inappropriate exposure of the sexual body launguge which is forbidden on Ismarty platform from the Do’s and Don’ts.

Demographics

Ismarty's users are divided equally with 50% from its web app and 50% from Android owners.

While Ismarty has a neutral gender-bias format, 37% of Ismarty users are female while 53% are male.

Ismarty's geographical use is shown to favor urban areas as 16% of African youths 11% of adults who live in urban areas use Ismarty service while only 13% of youths and 6% of adults in suburban and rural areas globally do so.

While Ismarty may appear to be one of the most widely used sites for moments-sharing, only 16% of daily photo the images uploads some with texting the isays.
