Helen began blogging in high school on the site helen-owen.com, building a decent Instagram presence. She bootstrapped her own modeling career after earning a degree in Design Media Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles and extended her reach as an influencer to millions. ^[2]

Helen began modeling in 2010, to this day she remains a freelancer, leveraging her knowledge of the social media landscape to manage her own personal lifestyle brand. She credits UCLA for her knowledge of the industry and many of the connections she has made.

Helen has modeled for brands such as Hello Hair, BirkSun, and she is the face of Vitamin A Swimwear. In 2019, she was a #FrankiesGirl of the month and was interviewed on the swimwear brand's website.
