From July 2008-September 2009 he was the Head of the Search Sciences Lab at Yahoo!, where he managed a critical team responsible for algorithms and models that drive Yahoo! Search from Crawling and Document processing to Query and Intent Understanding, Relevance Ranking, Federation, and Result Presentation. His team consisted of scientists specializing in Information retrieval, Machine learning and Natural language processing.
Between April 2005 and June 2008 he was a Director of Research, Search and Advertising Sciences at Yahoo!.
From 2002 to 2005 he was a Researcher and Lab Manager at PARC which Xerox PARC.
Between 2000 and 2002 he was the D irector of Business Development at ClearForest.
From 2006 to 2000 he was a Researcher at Xerox Corp, where he w orked in the Natural Language Theory and Technology (NLTT) group. He was the principal in developing parsing and generation algorithms in the context of Xerox Linguistic Engine (XLE).
Education
Between 1990 and 1996 he studied at the Stanford University and graduated with a PhD in Computational linguistics; Natural language processing (NLP).
From 1987 to 1990 he studied at the Tel Aviv University and graduated with a BSc in Cognitive sciences; Linguistics.
