Grant Strobl

Grant Strobl

Grant Stroble, also known as His Majesty Grant Strobl, is a University of Michigan student who took advantage of the school's policy of allowing students to choose their preferred pronoun to append His Majesty to his name.

Strobl is chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom board of governors.

β€œI henceforth shall be referred to as: His Majesty Grant Strobl.

I encourage all UM students to go onto Wolverine Access, and insert the identity of their dreams,” he told the College Fix.

The Sun reported that the university's name system "was designed to help professors know what to call their students – whether it’s he, she or the gender-neutral zi or zir."

Strobl identifies as a Christian and says he loves all kinds of people, supports them being identified how they choose, but thinks punishing anyone for using the wrong pronoun is a slippery slope and dangerous.
