Good English (band)

Good English (band)

Good English was a three-sister rock band based out of Dayton, Ohio.

The band's sound is indie, roots, and punk-influenced rock and roll.

[undefined] The band is no longer touring.

Controversy

In June 2016, Good English had several shows cancelled and faced public outrage when the band's drummer Leslie Rasmussen wrote a letter defending Stanford University rapist Brock Turner. [1]

She said that Brock was not in the wrong and should not have been found guilty.

She thought that alcohol was the primary cause for what occurred, and said it was not as though she was "kidnapped and raped"[1].

This sparked outrage, and many locations refused to book the band for their shows.

The band was generally considered to be blacklisted following public outcry.
