Giovanna Plowman is a resident of Buffalo, New York.

On January 19th, 2013, Plowman uploaded a video to Facebook in which she removes a tampon off camera and proceeds to put it in her mouth while listening to the song “212” by Azealia Banks .

The video was re-uploaded to YouTube later that same day by YouTuber FizzyShizzles, but both copies were subsequently removed for violating the sites' terms of services.

Eventually, a mirrored copy was re-uploaded to LiveLeak.

After the video went viral, a debate ensued whether the video was faked or not.

She subsequently received the nickname "Tampon Girl" for her actions.
