Averill J. Davenport, also known by stage name as, General Reezy, was an American local Rapper in the city of Philadelphia who died in a drive-by shooting. For years he motivated his community with his talents and became a sought after act at many venues.
Biography
Davenport was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia for most of his life. He has also lived there for most of his upbringing.
Criminal Background
Reezy had prior convictions for drug- and gun-related counts, according to court records.
In 2007, he was found not guilty of murder after being accused of shooting a 46-year-old man outside a North Philadelphia bar.
His most recent case was a 2014 guilty plea to drug counts, for which he was sentenced to 11½ to 23 months in prison, records show.

On August 8th, 2018 at around 9:50 p.m., while being outside with a crowd near his neighborhood, Reezy and several other people were directly shot at during a drive-by shooting.
Several people were shot and injured.
Reezy and another woman were both shot in the chest and transported to the nearby hospital.
Reezy and Cooper were taken to Temple University Hospital, where each was declared dead shortly after 10 p.m.
The shooting took place between of North 12th and West Huntingdon.
According to a police summary of Wednesday’s incident, investigators believe shots were fired by someone in a gray or silver van traveling west on Huntingdon and then south on 12th.
12 shots were fired from an Ak-47 or similar-style assault rifle. Police believe that one weapon was used, Ryan said, but that two people were in the van.
